As of January 2022 the government of Alberta has implemented a new affordable childcare grant for all children in part time (50-100 hours) and full time (100+ hours) care. This grant is applied directly to your bill and the amount paid varies depending on the age of the child and if they are part time or full time. Along with this grant the government has increased the income threshold for working families meaning more families will qualify for subsidy in addition to this grant making childcare more affordable for families.
